How do I dispute a Content ID claim?

If you feel a content ID claim has been wrongfully placed on your video, you may choose to dispute the claim. After a Content ID dispute has been received we will review the claim as soon as possible. To dispute a claim please follow these directions:

1. Sign in to your YouTube account.
2. Click your account icon in the top right corner of the page.
3. Click Creator Studio > Video manager > Copyright notices. Here you will be able to see any claims that you may have.
4. Find that claim you wish to dispute and click the copyright symbol next to the video. This will provide information regarding the claim and which content in your video that it refers to.
5. Click File a dispute and follow the steps.

Please keep in mind, the sooner that you file your dispute, the less likely you will be to miss out on revenue generated from your content.
