Born in 1990’s United Kingdom, progressive house is an uplifting and experimental subgenre of house music. Inspired by trance, Italo house and Balearic beat, progressive house aims to explore (and sometimes blur) the border between house music and techno music. Most progressive house tracks are made of three distinct sections: build-up, breakdown and climax. Characterized by four-on-the-floor rhythm and linked-movement tracks, progressive house often employs regular addition and subtraction of layers in order to create an intense sound. Take a closer look at our progressive house library to experience the dynamic and particular sound of this subgenre.
