Funk Royalty Free Music

Originated in the African American communities in the mid-1960s, funk is known for being a very rhythmic, and danceable musical genre. Deriving its stylistic origins from jazz, rhythm and blues, and soul music, funk puts a greater emphasis on beats and in a sense, it de-emphasizes chord progressions along with melody. That is why most funk tracks have a strong bassline and loud but slow tempo drums. Moreover, funk employs very rich and almost hypnotising extended chords that are also employed in bebop jazz.
